Everything you need to know about Article 16 labeling regulations for e-commerce sellers.
Article 16 requires every consumer product sold in the EU to physically display: (1) Product identifier (model, batch, or serial number), (2) Manufacturer legal name and physical postal address + electronic contact (email/website), (3) EU Responsible Person name, physical address, and electronic contact for non-EU sellers, and (4) Safety warnings in the official language of every EU country where sold.
A CE mark is only required if your product falls under specific CE marking directives (such as the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC, Low Voltage Directive, Radio Equipment Directive, or RoHS). General consumer products (e.g. kitchen utensils, furniture, apparel) do NOT need a CE mark, but still require complete GPSR manufacturer and Responsible Person identification.
Under GPSR Article 9(7), safety information and warnings must be in the official language of the member state where the product is made available on the market. For instance, if you sell on Amazon.de, warnings must be in German; for Amazon.fr, in French. GPSRPilot automatically translates statutory warnings for multi-country sales.
Yes! GPSRPilot formats all vector labels to standard thermal dimensions (40x60mm, 30x40mm) and high-resolution 300 DPI. They are 100% compatible with Zebra, Rollo, Munbyn, Brother, and standard offset printers.
